To the Zoo!

Yup, again.

But it's free this time. Thanks to my mentor who has her mother working at the zoo to get us the free tickets! So, off we went. To the Zoo. In a tram. In a group. To see the animals. For one more time.

The weather was pretty unpredictable when we got there. It looked like it was about to rain, then it got sunny, then it got back gloomy again. Almost similar to my mood. Ups and downs in one single day.

Let's not get our time wasted. Start off with a mini tour around the zoo.

Of hundreds of animals there, I only managed to snap a few shots of some of the animals because apparently, I did not bring my camera. I was hoping someone would bring it and tag me in Fb! And of course, they did! But I was really silly for not utilising the camera from my phone. The shots were definitely not as good as those DSLRs, but at least they were not too bad. *eeks*

'No fish, prawn also not bad right?' - literally translated from hokkien [ bo hu, heh bun hor ]

So here's the giraffe. It's really small and it's much shorter than I've expected. Nevertheless, it's still a giraffe.

Oh, and we were so lucky to be able to see the elephants doing their morning walk!

Most of these elephants were from Malaysia and each of them also has a name. I remembered one of them being called Bongsu and the keeper was pronoucing it as Bong-sou....with an Australian accent. Try to imagine that!

Did you not see that?
Can you see much better now?

Amazingly, their trunks held on to the tails of the elephant in front of them, like they were holding hands. This helped to keep them in line and I guess, bonded them really well. I seriously wonder how the keepers trained them up to this stage! There must be a lot of hard work on both the keepers' side and also the elephants. Imagine holding someone's ass and walk (because in our case, we do not have a tail!)

One word, BRILLIANT :)

Next, we have the orang utans. They hailed from the Borneo Island.

And uh, they were locked in this position for minutes!

Had a hard time figuring what they were up to. Praying, maybe?
"Bring me back to the land of Borneo!"

Read this.

We doubted that.

To prove that we were stronger than the orang utans, we had a competition.

Man (in this case, a girl) VS Orang Utan

Contender no ONE

vs

Contender no TWO

After some time....

The battle was eventually won by Orang Utan!

because

he

cheated.

-.-"

The other occupants of the zoo include the gorillas. Caught one of them sleeping.

And the other one busy eating.

While this one here, was rather active and kept on running around its enclosure. How funny.

However, the mandrill was a lil grumpy. And arrogant. PMS kut.

Last but not least, the gibbons!

They were busy too! Picking up fleas from its partner.

Having been in the zoo mode for quite some time, it's time to

---> switch to law mode.
