Once again, it is here. Wha-aattt???

Yes, the FINALS exam is set to dominate the week and it is not showing any possibility of leaving any sooner.

I could still remember when I attended the first lesson of DIB, I had inflicted so much pressure in myself that I set a goal of achieving a string of As in every semester. Now, I got to admit that I was plain dumb to be thinking that way, considering the fact that academic excellence does not always guarantee a good job prospect. In fact, most of the time, it is the attitude that matters more than a piece of paper. No doubt that certificates do play a role in helping one to secure a higher pay, but it is not everything (keep that in mind!)

Hmm...I'm probably telling all these just to make myself feel better for I still have tonnes of things to study before sitting for my first paper 23 hours from now. ^.^

All right, enough chatter bout exams…shall we talk about other topics, say myself?

I’ve got to say that the past week has been the greatest week ever. Due to the inadequate time available to inject every single detail into my head for the coming exam, I was adamant to burn the midnight oil on Friday and Saturday so that I’ll have ample time to relax on the exam week (Monday to Thursday). So, I tried multitasking. I did my revision in front of the laptop (with loud music blaring) and placed the newspaper next to my notes (in case I got fed up of studying). Before that, I had gulped down a bottle of Red Bull, believing that it will help me to sustain until 2am. However, sensing that 2am might not be enough to finish the syllabus covered for the exam, I even took a cup of Nescafe, hoping that it’ll extend the consciousness till say, 3 or 4am?

Well, maybe my perseverance isn’t strong enough. The moment the clock struck 1am, my eyelids started to drop and the next thing I know, I was on the bed. Hehe…So, there went my struggle for Friday night. As for Saturday night, the heavy dinner that I took caused me to hit the sack early. Yeah, you got it right when you say that my revision schedule has not been met. :>

Okay, enough nonsense from me.

*Counting the days till exam is over*

It's been more than a week since I last blogged. Slowly, things are crawling and heading towards me all at once. I am not sure if I'll be able to withstand this but I am praying hard that things will start to get better.

So, this is the last week before we sit for our finals exam next Monday. Wish me luck, please. I mean lots of it!!! Surprisingly, I am not feeling the tension or anxiety that used to reside in me prior to sitting for the past exams. Maybe I'm already starting to get numb. I no longer care about getting an A or a B because to me, a grade will not determine anything. (But keep in mind! Of course I would prefer to get an A compared to a B).

The wisdom tooth is on strike again. Once again, it is causing so much pain to me and there goes my crazy obsession over koay teow th'ng. Gosh, I wish someone can give me a reason for this craze...!!!

mini Birthday party with boys

What a great way to celebrate my birthday - 12 November 2008.
This year is particularly special as I get to spend the morning with my two boys, Aun and Fei.

Isn't he captivating?

And isn't he mesmerizing?

Well, I'm done with the introduction of the two boys. This is the cake that PY had bought for me the other day. She is such a great friend! Really...

So, the first shot was taken with Aun.

Next, it was Fei.
I bet they were just as excited as me for they had not stopped smiling even after the cake was cut.

I wasn't lying. There, I have proof!!!

Or was it because I looked funny to them?

Anyway, being the usual boys, they had not left out the opportunity to fight even on my birthday.

Tadah! The report is done.

I'm signing off now.

An ordinary day

I was given the opportunity to toy around with my cousin's newly-bought camera and so, there went my shooting spree. However, please do not expect too much from me as I have just adopted this hobby recently.

So, I started off by taking a macro shot of these leaves.

And proceeded with the flower.

Not forgetting the calculator as well.

And once done with all the lifeless objects, I moved on to my two cute babies. This is Aun, the elder boy who loves to play masak-masak.

Next, this is the younger toddler, fei fei, who loves to be carried around the house, which sometimes irritates me. But still, he has this cuteness that captivates me.

Don't believe me?

Here's the proof! Cute or not? Although he is barely one year old, he is already heavier than Aun. I guess his size says it all.

Whenever he is hungry, he will cry just like this.

And if no one comes to him, he'll cry even louder. Just like this.

His actions constantly baffles Aun most of the time.

Once they have both taken their lunch, they will sit and play together. The game requires them to head to their respective corners and gather any item that they found on the floor for analysis later on. As seen here, their game has already begun.

Obviously, fei fei has lost in the game.

feifei: why is it like that?? you always bully me leh! not fair not fair!!!

Aun: What? Beh syok is it? Go and complain lar...I am the big brother in this house okay.

Somehow, just like every other boys, they will patch up after quite some time. So, don't worry too much about that.

They too, need some healthy exercises like us. This time, I think they are playing the 'catching' game. Aun looks extremely serious here.

Fei: I choose to hide here. Can he see me? Can he see me?

Aun: Arghhh!! Where has fei gone to??!!! I need to report to popo ASAP! What if the clumsy dude falls into the drain?

My mum, looking chio most of the time with her pink and green combination.

Fei: Or do you think I should just hide inside here? Will it fit me, I wonder?

Fei: I guess not. Argh, I should just end the game and crawl on the floor instead. Playing with Aun is no fun at all. Hmmph!

Pretty boy boy, walking down the street. *music playing*

Errr...taking a break. Babies also need a break, right?

All of a sudden, everyone started going back into the house.

Aun: Gosh! I need to get back immediately.

As Fei couldn't walk, he crawled. But at a faster pace.

All right. Nothing special. It's just shower time for the two of them.

Yeah, they bathe together. Don't all the boys love to bathe together?

Okay, that's the end of their journal for the day.

Stay tuned for more pictures. See ya!

Mr Sweetguy

Today marks a very important event for me and also my friend, Mei. Honestly, I am really happy for her as a guy from my class had just declared something really romantic to her. I seriously did not make this up for I have Joanne as my witness.

Apparently, it all started when we were having our meal at KFC. Out of nowhere, he looked at Mei and declared these words to her.

Mr. SweetGuy : I love to listen to your laughter. Most importantly, I attended AE2 classes just for the sake of that.

Of course, it is literally translated from hokkien but still, I did not miss out a single word. In fact, the meaning is still intact!
I bet every single girl out there will be moved upon hearing those words. I too, was extremely envious of Mei and I am not shy to say that.

To sum it up, it's a very meaningful day. 6 November 2008 is definitely a day to remember.

18 going on 19

It has always been to my understanding that wishes that are made on birthdays will have a higher chance to materialize. Still, I don't know how true is that but I'm sure that there is no harm trying it.

Wish number #1 - Add a few more zeros at the back of the current figure in the bank account book. It'll be better if the currency is changed to pounds instead.

Wish number #2 - A decent-priced digital camera which can perform basic tasks like snapping real good pictures and zooming at very far objects.

Wish number #3 - To have more wishes, say 10? I'm not a greedy person. >.<

Okay, I was just crapping.

All I want is to be/have

- as rich as Warren Buffett
- as pretty as Ashley Tisdale,
- as successful as Oprah Winfrey
- a voice as good as Mariah Carey's
- a fashion label under my name, Fernie
- a house in every country around the world
- free travelling around the world
- a yellow mini cooper bearing number plate 'Fernie'
- a share in Big Apple Donuts
- endless supplies of products under brands like Gucci, Prada, LV...
- a date with Jay Zhou or Lee Hom

Is that too much to ask for?

I SERIOUSLY DON'T THINK SO.

Bukit Genting - one

I feel so ashamed of myself. Even though I am a lawfully Penangite, never have I heard of a place called Bukit Genting until a few days ago. But somehow, I felt relieved that I wasn't the only Penangite who was unaware about the existence of the hill. I had actually told Lynette about it and she thought that it was another place to hike, just like Penang Hill.

So, what is this place actually? Simply put, the hill houses a Thai restaurant and the view from here is purely eye-catching and amazing. If Hong Kong has its own Peak Hill, then this will be our very own Genting Hill (mind that it's not Genting Highlands!).

We will have to thank CK for buying us dinner on top of the hill as part of his birthday celebration. Here are some of the pictures that we took before the sun eventually sets.

The moment we saw the buffalo, Jo was so eager to climb over it and snap a picture. I too, wanted to get on top of it but somehow, I believe I might hurt the poor buffalo and break his bones. Therefore, I decided to just lean on its body.

Here we are again, posing out of randomness.

The place is so amazing that we just can't stop snapping pictures everywhere we passed.

Yes, even along the stairs.

Not to forget this spot which I believe hold a significance to many people.

Just take a look at the backdrop. If only I have the money to buy up this place and name it as Fernie Hill. LOL. All right, I know that it is still too early to dream.

Kindly ignore the backdrop. We're the center of attention here.

I don't know why we had posed like this but I do believe that the dark blue sky sure caught our fancy, especially Irene's. She looked remarkably cheerful, agree?

Okay, the view was so amazing that it had tempted us to try the 'Jack and Rose' trademark pose in Titanic.

Yeah, we know we look awfully silly in this picture.

This hill had such a wide variety of attractions for us to try. Deciding to make full use of our time there, we also climbed up the stairs just to get into the helicopter.

However, there was no way we can get a clear shot from the ground. So, CK braved himself to climb up this two-metre high structure in order to snap both of us inside the chopper.

But, he soon realized that the iPhone did not contain the focus function and that his effort was afterall, futile. Fortunately, I had my phone with me and so, we could still snap a picture inside the chopper.
